So why the new name? According to the manufacturer, the new "Dohm" name was inspired by the dome shape of the unit. Having a more simple name also makes it less confusing for the consumer.
All of the features of the SleepMate 980A model have remained the same. The Dohm-DS still features 2 speeds, and the tone and volume can still be adjusted by moving the "cap" and the "collar" of the unit.
