The Vector™ Hair Removal System has been designed for use in professional salons or
for high-performance hair removal at home. It is the only hair removal
system on the market that has the same output power as professional
electrolysis machines. This machine will save you hundreds of dollars on

Unlike other hair removal devices that use radio frequencies and batteries, the
Vector™ uses the process of electrolysis to dissolve the hair follicle

How Vector Electrolysis System Works
1. An electrode patch is placed
anywhere on the body (this patch is used instead of the metal rod used
during conventional electrolysis for better comfort during treatment).
This patch is then connected to the ground wire and plugged into the
Vector. The second wire is plugged into the tweezers.
2. The supplied conductivity gel is coated over the hair (the
conductivity gel allows hair above the surface of the skin to conduct
electricity, without the conductivity gel the hair has a very high
resistance and will not conduct electricity even at lethal voltages) and
that hair is then grasped with the tweezers as close as possible to the
skin without actually touching the skin.
3. The current will flow from the tweezers down into the hair follicle,
causing the watery environment inside the hair follicle to react with
salt, resulting in Sodium Hydroxide. If you were to put just a drop of
sodium hydroxide on your skin it will burn a hole right through. This
chemical process is what dissolves the hair follicle and therefore the
hair will never grow again.

Question:
How to test if my Vector System is working?
ANSWER:
Please follow these steps:
1. Plug the machine into the AC receptacle using the supplied power
cord.
2. Make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
3. Plug the tweezer cord and the patch cord into to their color
coded outlets.
4. Touch the exposed metal parts of the tweezer to the aligator clip
at the end of the patch cord.
The needle should then jump all the way to the right. If you
purchased a foot pedal and have it plugged in during the test, you
will need to touch the exposed metal parts while pressing down on
the foot pedal. The machine is fully functional if the needle jumps
to the right.

Question:
Is the system easy to use?
ANSWER:
Initially the electrolysis treatment might seem somewhat
difficult and time consuming, but within time you will gain practice
being able to perform the treatment very quickly while obtaining the
best results in permanent hair removal.
In the first times when trying to operate the Vector system we
recommend covering a small area of the skin (making sure that both
hair and skin are completely covered by the gel), such as the size
of a quarter of a dollar, with the conductivity gel so that it won’t
dry out during the process.
It is also very important that you remember to position the
tweezers as close as possible to the skin, but without actually
touching it in order to avoid possible skin damage or burns.
Since hair itself is an insulator and can not conduct electricity
the conductivity gel must be applied in order to have electricity
being conducted all the way down to the hair shaft. The electricity
once conducted to the hair shaft will produce a chemical reaction
that will permanently damage the follicle.

Question:
After applying the current to the hair, do you need to pluck the
hair, or just leave the hair and it will fall off?
ANSWER:
The treatment is more efficient if the hair is immediately plucked
out after current is applied for the indicated amount of time.

Question:
Is the treatment painful?
ANSWER:
There will be a tingling sensation during treatment, but most people
tolerate it well. There are different power settings for different
levels of comfort. However, there should be some tingling sensation for
successful results.

Question:
How long does it take to see results?
ANSWER:
Electrolysis permanently destroys hair. However, even after you
completely clear an area in one treatment you will see some re-growth.
The new growth that you see is not the same hair that you treated
originally but fresh anagen hairs, which were resting at the time of the
original treatment. Human hair grows in cycles and therefore not all
hair is growing at once. If hair was not growing in cycles then humans
would look like apes. It usually takes 3 to 4 months for all hairs to go
through a complete growth cycle and all hairs will need to be
electrolyzed before they stop their cycle. After each treatment you will
notice about a 20% reduction in hair growth in the treatment area. This
reduction is permanent and will compound until there is no more hair
growth in the treatment area.

Question:
What would be considered permanent hair removal?
ANSWER:
Permanent hair removal can not be completed in a single treatment of the
area. Because hair grows in cycles you will have about a 20% reduction
in hair growth. As the hair goes through all its cycles there will be no
more hair growth.

Question:
Is this procedure going to irritate my skin?
ANSWER:
There might be little red spots appearing around the treated area but
they are only temporary, so do not be alarmed. You should consider that
an indication of successful treatment since there are high levels of
sodium hydroxide in the hair shaft.

Question:
What is the purpose of the patch electrodes? Does this provide a faster
alternative to the tweezers?
ANSWER:
The tweezers are the main treating article and what you would use as
holding the hair for the time indicated in the manual. The electrode
patch is designed to act strictly as the ground wire for the device - it
should be placed anywhere on your body.

Question:
I am a man with dark leg hair. Will the Vector work for me?
ANSWER:
Yes. Vector is far from another non-functional, battery-operated device
on the market. It is a full AC powered electrolysis unit that works just
as well as ones in the salon. The Vector system does work on individual
hairs and therefore a large area such as your legs will take a lengthy
amount of time to treat. But keep in mind that once treated, the hair
will never return. Unfortunately there are no miracles in the hair
removal business and anyone trying to advertise one to you is either
uneducated or lying for the sale.

Question:
How long do the gel and the patches that are included with the machine
last?
ANSWER:
Depending on the area of treatment, the gel will usually last a month to
a month and a half of daily treatment. The patches can be reused until
the adhesive is not sticking to the skin.
